Luis Heredia Álvarez

FOUNDER

Former member of the Malaga Bar Association. Col. 875

Luis Heredia Álvarez has been a founding member of the law firm known as Medio y Heredia Abogados. He holds a degree in Law from the University of Oviedo. Prior to practising as a lawyer, he worked as a civil servant for the Board of Works of the Port of Gijón, which at the time belonged to the Ministry of Public Works, from 1978 to 1983.

He has been a member of the Malaga Bar Association since 1984 and has been practising law without interruption since then, as can be seen from the recognition of the Bar Association of Malaga for his twenty-five years of professional practice as a member of the Bar Association.

He has been a member of the Spanish National Timeshare Association (ANETC), Secretary of the Andalusian Timeshare Association and President of the Ethics Committee of the European Timeshare Organisation (OTE). He has been a regular attendee at conferences, symposiums and forums related to tax, real estate and money laundering. He has developed his work mainly in the Civil, Administrative, Corporate and Real Estate areas, as well as in the field of Legal and Judicial Expertise.

Pilar Medio Cachafeiro

FOUNDER

Pilar Medio Cachafeiro is one of the founders of the firm. For more than 35 years she has been the firm’s accountant and during all these years she has also been in charge of the management and processing of all the firm’s files, including the processing of mortgages constituted in favour of banks.

Likewise, she has been the person in charge of contracting supplies in the office, once the real estate sale and purchase has been carried out. Due to her extensive professional career, she has acquired over the years extensive legal knowledge in the field of real estate and mortgage law.

Luis Heredia Medio graduated in Law in 1999 from the San Pablo CEU University. Along with his Law Degree, he studied the speciality of Community Law, obtaining this speciality in 2000.

A year later, he began his professional career in the multinational AXA and subsequently studied for a Master’s Degree in Town Planning and Land Use Planning at the San Pablo CEU University, obtaining a Cum Laude qualification for his comparative study of the procedure for obtaining planning permission in Spain and the United Kingdom. In 2003, he became a practising lawyer at the Malaga Bar Association, joining Medio y Heredia Abogados in the same year.

He is currently a lawyer with extensive professional experience, especially in the field of Real Estate Law. He has assisted numerous clients in all types of real estate transactions, both individuals and legal entities involved in property development. He has been a regular attendee at conferences, symposiums and forums related to tax, real estate and money laundering issues.

Pablo Krauel González

Pablo Krauel González graduated in Law from the University of Navarra in 2019. Upon completing his undergraduate studies, he pursued a Master’s in Law at the University of Málaga, graduating in 2021 with a Cum Laude distinction for his final thesis. His thesis, a case study, focused on the analysis and resolution of various issues related to the transfer of shares in Spanish limited companies.

During this period, Pablo also obtained qualifications to advise clients on mortgage and credit loans for real estate investments from CUNEF University, receiving authorization from the Bank of Spain.

After passing the Spanish Bar Exam, Pablo commenced his career at Bank Sabadell, where he provided comprehensive advisory services to companies on all banking matters from a 360-degree perspective.

In 2022, Pablo joined Medio y Heredia Abogados, where he has since specialized in real estate transactions. He has successfully assisted numerous clients, both private individuals and legal entities, with their real estate needs.

Carmen Sánchez Martínez

ACCOUNTANT & TAX ADVISOR

Carmen Sánchez Martínez holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Málaga since 1998. In addition to her degree in Economics, she completed a Master’s Degree in Account Auditing and Accounting. She has completed numerous specialisation courses in Tax, Fiscal, Commercial and Accounting.

Since 1999 she has worked in several professional offices on the Costa del Sol. She is specialised in Tax, Fiscal, Accounting and Mercantile Consultancy. She joined the firm Medio y Heredia Abogados in 2017.

With twenty years of experience, she focuses her practice mainly on tax advice and planning for individuals and legal entities, as well as tax and accounting advice.

Noelia Dueñas Lara

ACCOUNTANT

Noelia Dueñas Lara holds a degree in Economics from the University of Malaga. Following her graduation, she gained valuable experience working with several prominent companies in Malaga, where she developed a strong foundation in financial management and accounting practices. In 2021, she joined our accounting team, bringing her expertise and dedication to the role.

At our firm, Noelia is responsible for managing a range of accounting tasks and overseeing tax filings for our non-resident clients, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and providing personalized service. Her meticulous attention to detail and proactive approach have been instrumental in optimizing our clients’ financial operations.

Together with her colleague Carmen, Noelia delivers comprehensive accounting and tax advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients each year. Their collaborative efforts and commitment to excellence have consistently resulted in successful outcomes, earning the trust and satisfaction of our clients.

María Jesús Hiraldo Robledo

PARALEGAL

Maria Jesús Hiraldo has been with our firm since its inception in 1982. Over the years, she has served as an assistant and has been involved in the management and processing of sales and purchases. With over 35 years of experience, Maria Jesús possesses extensive legal knowledge in real estate and mortgage law, despite not being a lawyer. Her deep expertise and long-standing dedication make her an invaluable asset to our team.

Cecilie Cappelen

PARALEGAL

Cecilie Cappelen joined our firm in 2015 in response to a growing number of Scandinavian clients, particularly from Sweden. With over fifteen years of experience, Cecilie has worked as a assistant in our office and at another prominent law firm in Marbella.

Currently, she provides secretarial support and meticulously reviews case files alongside our attorneys to ensure clients receive detailed information in their native language. Cecilie possesses extensive legal expertise in real estate law. Her native language is Swedish, and she is fluent in Spanish and English.

Elena Navas Ponce

Elena joined our firm in 2022, bringing with her two years of valuable experience from the real estate industry. Initially, she supported our after-sales department, where her dedication and efficiency quickly became apparent. Thanks to her exceptional performance, she was soon promoted to the role of paralegal.

In her new role, Elena has been actively involved in numerous real estate transactions, all of which have been successful. She has consistently demonstrated her ability to handle complex situations with resolution and efficiency. María del Carmen Gilés Durán

Maria del Carmen Giles Durán holds a degree in Philology from the University of Granada and has been a dedicated member of our firm since 2007. In her role, she is responsible for managing and processing all firm files, a task that requires exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Her responsibilities also extend to overseeing ownership changes and utility contracting in real estate transactions, ensuring that every step is handled efficiently and accurately.

Sofia Blixt has been a valuable member of our firm since early 2018. Originally hailing from Sweden, she brings with her a wealth of customer service experience garnered from several years at one of Spain’s most prestigious hotels. Her international background has equipped her with exceptional interpersonal skills and a keen understanding of diverse client needs.

In her current role as office receptionist, Sofia handles a broad spectrum of secretarial and administrative duties with remarkable proficiency. She is responsible for managing the front desk, greeting clients, and ensuring that all inquiries are addressed promptly and professionally. Additionally, she expertly manages our filing system, ensuring that all documents are organized and easily accessible.

Sofia’s multilingual capabilities are a significant asset to our firm. Fluent in Swedish, Spanish, and English, she facilitates seamless communication with our international clientele, ensuring that language barriers are never an issue.
